Three are scheduled for March, and additional community engagement dates, locations, and details will be announced soon.
TAMPA, Fla. — The Tampa Bay Rays on Friday announced the first three public community engagement sessions to gather feedback on the team’s proposed new ballpark and mixed‑use development in Hillsborough County.
The series will begin Tuesday, March 3, at Hillsborough College’s Dale Mabry campus, with additional events planned across the county. Team officials say the sessions are designed to give residents, students, business leaders, and fans an early look at evolving concepts for the project. Attendees will be able to ask questions and weigh in on design ideas that will guide the next phase of planning.

“We look forward to hearing directly from our students, faculty, staff, and the broader community as this exciting project continues to take shape,” Dr. Ken Atwater, President of Hillsborough College, said. “This partnership represents a transformational opportunity for Hillsborough College, and most importantly, for the student experience. By reimagining our Dale Mabry campus as part of a vibrant, mixed-use district, we have the opportunity to enhance campus facilities, expand workforce offerings and internship pathways, and create new avenues for learning and career development that will benefit our students for generations to come.”
Under the proposal, ballpark construction would be funded jointly by the Rays, Hillsborough County, and the City of Tampa, while the larger multi‑billion‑dollar district would be privately financed. More information is available at NewBallpark.RaysBaseball.com.
