The Vision Student Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA) at Bethune-Cookman University (B-CU) traveled to Orlando to participate in the recent Intern Pursuit event, hosted by the Quotes student chapter of FPRA at the University of Central Florida (UCF).
This premier internship fair, which took place on Oct. 8 at UCF, attracted communication and media students from various Florida and Alabama educational institutions.
The event provided a unique opportunity for 333 students to connect with industry professionals and explore internship availabilities across a range of fields. Vision members engaged with employers, presented resumes and participated in networking activities essential for career development.
Notable attendees included Lindsay Hudock, APR, CPRC, FPRA’s state president, who emphasized the importance of internships in shaping future careers of aspiring public relations professionals.
“Intern Pursuit is a vital platform for students to gain hands-on experience and make meaningful connections within the industry,” said Hudock.
The Vision chapter is committed to empowering its members through professional development and networking opportunities, and attending Intern Pursuit aligns with this mission. The event not only showcased the talents of students but also re-inforced the collaborative spirit of the FPRA community.
