CLEARWATER BEACH, Fla. — The Tampa Bay area is getting ready for another Spring Break season.

The busy period usually runs until about mid-April.

Last year, Tampa International Airport saw more than 3.3 million passengers during the Spring Break period.

While the Bay area school districts are still a few weeks away from their break, visitors are expected to start arriving this week and continue to visit for the next six weeks or so.

And this year’s spring break arrives on the heels of Gov. Ron DeSantis saying the state recently hit record-breaking milestones in tourism numbers.

Last week, state officials said Florida welcomed 143 million visitors in 2025.

“Florida continues to set the standard as the top travel destination in the nation,” DeSantis said. “Welcoming millions of visitors while delivering real economic benefits for our residents.”
