Monday’s Powerball drawing will have a $249 million jackpot, the day after a lone Florida Lottery major money jackpot went to a Walmart shopper in Broward County.

With the death of Cash4Life, Fantasy 5 is the only big money draw game for which Sunday is not a day of rest. Nobody hit the midday draw, which came up 2, 7, 13, 24 and 30, but the evening draw numbers of 8, 12, 16, 22 and 34 were chosen by a player at the Lauderdale Lakes Walmart, 3001 N. State Rd. 7.

Those choices were worth $108,640.

This ticket needs to be cashed at one of the Florida Lottery offices. That Walmart is about 33 miles from the Florida Lottery office in Miami Lakes, 14621 Oak Ln., which can be reached at MIARC@flalottery.com or 305-364-3060. About 39 miles north-northwest of that Walmart sits the office in Palm Springs, 4360 Forest Hill Blvd., which can be emailed at WPBRC@flalottery.com or called at 561-640-6190. Appointments can be made, but aren’t required. Both are open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
