DETECTIVES ON THE TREASURE COAST ARE SEARCHING FOR A GROUP OF SNEAKER THIEVES AFTER THEY SAY THE CREW PULLED OFF AN ELABORATE ROOFTOP HEIST AT THE TREASURE COAST MALL IN JENSEN BEACH. LIKE SOMETHING OUT OF A MOVIE. ANGELA ROZIER HAS THE DETAILS AND THE PHOTOS. WELL, INVESTIGATORS WITH THE MARTIN COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE SAY THE REPORTED THEFT HERE INSIDE THE TREASURE COAST MALL TOOK PLACE IN THE EARLY MORNING HOURS ON TUESDAY, AND THEY’RE STILL TRYING TO TRACK DOWN THE SUSPECTS. DETECTIVES SHARED THESE PHOTOS TAKEN AT THE CRIME SCENE. THEY SAY YOU CAN SEE HOW THE THIEVES CUT THEIR WAY THROUGH THE CONCRETE ROOF AT THE TREASURE COAST MALL, THEN DROPPING INTO A SPORTING GOODS STORE AND REPORTEDLY STOLE HUNDREDS OF PAIRS OF NIKE SHOES. THEY SAY THE STOLEN MERCHANDISE WAS BAGGED, TAGGED, THROWN OFF THE ROOF AND LOADED INTO A GETAWAY VEHICLE. BUT AS YOU CAN SEE, SOME OF THE ITEMS WERE LEFT BEHIND AND INVESTIGATORS SAY ANYONE WHO MAY HAVE BEEN IN THE AREA OF THE MALL ON TUESDAY BETWEEN MIDNIGHT AND 8 A.M. AND SAW SOMETHING SUSPICIOUS. Authorities with the Martin County Sheriff’s Office are investigating after a ring of thieves cut through the concrete roof of the Treasure Coast Mall, dropped into Champs Sporting Goods and stole hundreds of pairs of Nike shoes.

“The stolen merchandise was bagged, tagged, thrown off the roof, and loaded into a getaway vehicle,” officials said.
