ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Florida is expected to see a sharp rise in gas prices this week as a result of U.S.-Israeli military strikes in Iran.

So as fuel experts continue to monitor changes, we’ve gathered a list of resources to help you find gas stations with the best prices across Tampa Bay.

Why did gas prices go up?
The conflict in Iran has sent global oil markets into a panic, raising the price of crude and raising the specter of higher gas prices in the U.S.Â
Since the U.S. began airstrikes in Iran on Saturday, the price of crude oil in the U.S. has jumped more than 5%, to $70.86 per barrel. Crude oil prices are the driving factor for the cost of gasoline.
According to the federal government, there’s a general rule that for every $1 change in the price of oil, there’s roughly a 2.4-cent change per gallon of gas.Â
