The Florida State Seminoles already have two safeties committed in their 2027 recruiting class, but Evan Cooper is not done. He is going after several more targets, and one of their highest-rated targets is Ta’Shawn Poole, a top 100 prospect.

FSU has been recruiting him since August of 2025, and he has scheduled a second visit with the Seminoles. According to Chris Nee of Noles247, he will return to Tallahassee on March 28 for their Legacy Weekend. That is FSU’s premier spring recruiting event, when they welcome former players back on campus and top targets.

Poole is ranked as the No. 69 overall player and No. 6 safety in the 247Sports composite. The Macon native is also the No. 6 player from Georgia.

The Seminoles have plenty of competition for Poole, who has over two dozen scholarship offers from programs across the country. One program to watch is the Tennessee Volunteers, who have already scheduled an official visit with him.

Cooper has built a strong safety class already, getting commitments from four-star Mekhi Williams and three-star Jemari Foreman. Williams is FSU’s highest-rated commit, but neither one of them has shut down their recruitment as multiple other programs are pursuing both.
