Miami’s luxury dining scene is about to welcome a new Italian restaurant — on the 54th floor of a Brickell skyscraper.

A collaboration between the OKO Group, a real estate and investment firm, and The Bastion Collection, the luxury hospitality group behind Michelin-starred restaurants L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon and Le Jardinier, Seia sits atop 803 Brickell in downtown Miami, the sixth-tallest building in the city.

Named for the Roman goddess of sowing seeds, the restaurant opens March 14, and its art isn’t limited to the cuisine. You’ll find works by Damien Hirst, Keith Haring, Richard Prince, Ling Pui and Andy Warhol in the dining room, a nod to the sort of artistic luxury the brand, which is also opening a members-only private club, is aiming to evoke.

Vlad Doronin, chairman and CEO of OKO Group, believes Seia “sets a new benchmark, one designed to shape the future or urban destinations worldwide.”

“We have introduced and exclusive experience that brings together world-class design, museum-quality art and exceptional gastronomy in one elevated setting,” he said.

The restaurant is elevated in more than one sense: the outdoor space overlooks Biscayne Bay, with stunning panoramic views of the water and the Miami skyline. Inside, the look is modern Italian (the space is designed by Laurence Macadam of Zervudachi, Roberts & Macadam London.

The menu, too, highlights contemporary Italian fare. Bastion Collection executive chef Salvatore Martone oversees the menu, while executive chef Alessandro Morrone oversees the kitchen, who both grew up in southern Italy.

Diners can start their meals with antipasti: Grilled artichokes, roasted eggplant in tomato sauce, wagyu carpaccio, fried red shrimp with calamari or grilled octopus with yellow tomatoes,

Pasta plays a starring role on the lunch and dinner menus, with bucatini cacio e pepe and rigatoni Bolognese as well as items like spaghetti with zucchini, penne ndjua (a spicy pork sausage) with a spicy Calabrian sauce and linguine alla vongole. There’s also a truffle risotto and tortelloni with red wine-braised short rib.

Other highlights include veal Milanese, lamb chops and whole Dover sole.

Upstairs, on the 55th floor, is Seia Club, a private, invitation-only club, which will feature private tastings, chef-led dinners and what the brand calls “salon-style gatherings.” Members have access to a private dining room as well.

Jamal Daniel, owner of The Bastion Collection, said his group was proud to work on a concept “that combines operational excellence, culinary integrity and culture within one vision.”

“Our goal is for Seia to become an enduring cornerstone of Brickell’s social and business life.”
