Orlando Science students are set to compete in a state-level business tournament.
19 Orlando Science middle school students are putting on their studying hats after earning spots in the Future Business Leaders of America – Middle Level State Conference.
The students recently qualified for the tournament while competing against nearly 500 kids in several categories including accounting, finance and the agriculture industry.
“Qualifying for the FBLA State Conference is a significant achievement and reflects our students’ strong academic skills, leadership potential and readiness for future success,” said principal Julie Santos.
They will go up against top competitors from across Florida in March, right here in Orlando.
According to FBLA, the program recognizes and rewards excellence in a broad range of business and career-related areas. At the State Leadership Conference, students compete in events testing their business knowledge and skills. Top state winners are then eligible to compete for national awards at the National Leadership Conference each summer.
