HM Restaurant Group has promoted Reyes Martinez to general manager of Dixie Fish Company, its popular seafood restaurant currently ranked Tripadvisor’s No. 1 restaurant in the Fort Myers area. Martinez has spent his nine-year tenure with the company at Doc Ford’s Rum Bar & Grille’s Fort Myers Beach and St. Petersburg Pier locations.
“Reyes has been a valuable employee for nearly a decade and is a great addition to the Dixie Fish Company team,” said Joe Harrity, a partner with HM Restaurant Group, which manages the restaurant. “He’s an established leader who is dedicated to upholding our high standards for stellar food and customer service.”
Martinez is a certified guest service professional, completing the requirements in 2025.

Founded in 2015, Dixie Fish Company is renowned for its legendary service, delicious fresh seafood and made-to-order, made-from-scratch menu. An original Florida fish house, the restaurant’s origins date back to 1937 when it was primarily a fish market.
