ORLANDO, Fla. – The movie theater at Orlando’s Fashion Square Mall is shutting its doors, a move that comes as the aging mall faces change.
In a message posted on social media, Premiere Cinema 14 thanked its customers and cited the mall’s next phase of future redevelopment.
The closing leaves a longtime entertainment anchor vacant at a mall that has struggled for years and was listed for sale in October 2024.
“To our Orlando Premiere Guests: We will miss the laughs, screams and tears we have shared over the last 22 years!”
Brokers have pitched a massive redevelopment plan to turn the site into a modern mixed-use town center with housing, hotels, restaurants and retail, though exact timelines and approvals remain unclear.
The theater will close March 12. Gift cards will be accepted at this location through March 12 or at the nearest location in Plant City.
