Temple Terrace police said the girl agreed to buy Burger King with money the man gave her before she was forced into his car and sexually assaulted.

TEMPLE TERRACE, Fla. — Temple Terrace police are looking for a man they say abducted and sexually assaulted a 13-year-old girl.

Officers said a group of teens was approached by a man in a grey or silver Nissan Altima at around 6 p.m. Monday at the Doral Oaks Apartments complex.

The driver asked the group if they were willing to buy food from the Burger King in exchange for money he provided. While most of the group declined, one 13-year-old girl agreed.

The girl went to the Burger King located at North 56th Street, purchased the food and came back to the complex to give it to the man. 

As she approached his car, officers said the man forced her inside and drove off. 

Officers arrived at the complex and attempted to look for the girl before she returned just before 9:30 p.m.

The teen told investigators that the man forced her into the vehicle, went to an undisclosed location and sexually assaulted her.

The man was described by the 13-year-old as having a blonde or sandy-colored ponytail and a reddish blonde beard. He reportedly told her his name was either “Brian” or “Ryan” and said he was 19 years old.

Investigators are now working to identify the suspect.
