DeSantis said the state will distribute more than $13 million through the Job Growth Grant Fund to support local projects and workforce development.
“We are awarding 5 million to the Panama City, Bay County Airport and Industrial District to construct an aircraft engine repair station and an engine testing facility at Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport,” he said.
DeSantis also said state leaders are preparing a constitutional measure to give Floridians property tax relief and that, because of how taxing authorities are structured in the state constitution, the change must go to voters.
