SoHo Saloon permanently closed last week, it was announced through a post on the bar’s Instagram page.
The sports bar and saloon of 14 years formerly located at 410 S. Howard Ave. will become something new, according to the post.
Owner Michael Disser, of Disser Hospitality Investments, said in the post that his company is looking to evolve with the South Howard area and will build on the momentum of two other nearby businesses: Sunset Rodeo and the upcoming Howard & Platt in May.

Disser described the closure of SoHo Saloon as a rebrand in the post and said the new venue will have a better atmosphere and a stronger concept.
