TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Leon County is hosting the first stop of GoPro’s 2026 Team Kayak Series Bass Fishing Tournament.
On March 27, anglers from across the country will gather in Tallahassee. Leon County leaders anticipate more than 125 anglers gathering from around the country, according to a press release.
The tournament in Leon County will run from March 27-29 and kicks off the 2026 series that includes six stops.

The event will feature multiple divisions including individual and high school anglers.
Eligible waters include Lake Talquin, Lake Jackson and the Wakulla River.
The tournament culminated in an award ceremony with food, games, kayak demos and an afterparty, according to the press release. There will also be family-friendly activities throughout the tournament.
Leon County expects the event to generate “significant economic activity’ through lodging, dining and retail, the press release says.
