PORT ST. LUCIE – A 19-year-old man was arrested after investigators said he threw a rock at a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement vehicle, shattering the back window, according to an affidavit and police.

What happened: Port St. Lucie Police on Oct. 21 went to Wawa in the 10300 block of Southwest Tradition Parkway in the Tradition community west of Interstate 95 and met what the affidavit states were federal agents. Police said both U.S. Border Patrol and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials were there.

As an agent drove through the parking lot, the back window of an ICE agent’s vehicle shattered, according to records and police.

Identification: Investigators reported identifying a man who threw a rock at the vehicle. The man said he did so “because he was upset about ICE taking (redacted),” the affidavit states.

Felony arrest: Pasqual Velasquez Martin, 19, of Stuart was jailed on a weapon offense – missile into dwelling, vehicle, building or aircraft charge.

He was held Oct. 23 in the St. Lucie County Jail on $25,000 bond, according to the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office.
