ORLANDO, Fla. — Shequila Roberts knows the benefits of a new outfit and just how Dress for Success Greater Orlando can help women in need find the perfect fit.
Roberts, a single mom with two bachelor’s degrees, previously struggled to find work.
“I lacked confidence, and finding a job was very difficult. When I came in the door with Dress for Success, they treated me like family, helped me find clothes — and I got a job,” she explained.

The nonprofit teams up with Career Source to help provide resources to prepare women for the workforce and also helps them find job opportunities.
Longtime client and now volunteer Shequila Roberts is giving back time to help other women in need
Because of her own experience, Roberts said she is back at Dress for Success Greater Orlando as a volunteer, now paying it forward to help others find the perfect free fit and job opportunity. The nonprofit’s mission is about “Empowering women to achieve economic independence.”
“Now I just want to help other women and single moms who are having the same experience,” Roberts said.
Roberts is not alone. The store shares space with CareerSource.
“We serve job seekers, and Dress for Success provides services that really help them become employed,” said Gina Ronokarijo, vice president of workforce operations for CareerSource.
For more than 25 years, Dress for Success Greater Orlando and CareerSource have been working together to change lives for the better.
“Even in 2026, women can still benefit from our services — and we are here to support them without being judged,” Dress for Success Executive Director Joann Febus said.
For Roberts, volunteering at Dress for Success is iabout helping those who have walked in her shoes and look to achieve success.
