Jacksonville – Barbara Ann Cafferty, 79, of Jacksonville, North Carolina passed away on February 26, 2026, at Premier Nursing and Rehab. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.
Barbara was born on October 13, 1946, in Brooklyn, New York to the late Louis Nacarlo and Viola Henning Nacarlo. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James Peter Cafferty.
She is survived by her children, Scot P. Cafferty of New Bern, Melissa A. Cafferty of Jacksonville, and Todd J.Cafferty of Massachusetts, her grandchildren Tyler Cafferty, Lily Herrera, and Justin Allen of Jacksonville, Alana Herrera of Rhode Island, and two great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends prior to the service at Jones Funeral Home, Jacksonville,
from 11:00 to 11:45 AM.
