Motorsport Week has exclusive images from the IndyCar curtain-raiser in St. Petersburg, which saw Alex Palou pick up where he left off – with victory.

Last night, the 2026 instalment of the 2026 NTT IndyCar series kicked off with the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg.

And it was reigning champion Alex Palou who delivered a delirious case of deja vu to his rivals with victory, seeing off pole-sitter Scott McLaughlin.
