One of Miami’s most popular cultural celebrations returns this weekend as Carnaval on the Mile takes over Miracle Mile in Coral Gables on Saturday, March 7 and Sunday, March 8.

The free two-day festival, organized by the Kiwanis Club of Little Havana, turns downtown Coral Gables into a lively showcase of live music, art, food and family-friendly entertainment as part of the larger Carnaval Miami celebration.

Now in its 27th year, Carnaval on the Mile features three live music stages with international and award-winning performers, along with a mile-long display of fine art, crafts, photography and jewelry created by artists from around the region.

Confirmed performers for this year’s event include Puerto Rican conga duo Daniel Díaz and Jafet Murguía with their band Los Potritos, American soul-jazz favorites The Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio, two-time Latin Grammy–winning pianist Tony Pérez, and Latin Grammy-winning violinist Daniela Padrón.

Attendees can also enjoy culinary experiences from local vendors and a dedicated Kidz Nook, presented by Academica, featuring family programming and the inaugural Carnaval Miami Greatest Kids Show.

Carnaval on the Mile serves as a lead-in to the iconic Calle Ocho Music Festival, scheduled for March 15 in Little Havana, which draws more than one million visitors annually and is considered the largest Hispanic street festival in the United States.

Proceeds from Carnaval Miami events support youth development programs run by the Kiwanis of Little Havana Foundation, including scholarships, sports programs and community initiatives for local children.
