BASEBALL

Estero 6, Island Coast 5: A four-run seventh inning wasn’t quite enough for Island Coast (8-2), which saw its six game winning streak snapped. 

North Fort Myers 7, Ida Baker 1: Blaize Baldepina had two hits and two RBI, and Kristopher Colondres doubled in two runs for the Red Knights (7-2). Payton Sturrup struck out 14 in six innings, allowing one unearned run. Brody Root had two hits including a double for Ida Baker (3-5).

Mariner 7, South Fort Myers 3: Romero Gist was 4-for-4 with two doubles and an RBI for the Tritons (5-4). Xavier Muentes was 3-for-3 with an RBI. Nick Oliveros and Colin Raftery added an RBI each.

Cape Coral 5, Oasis 4: Mikey Anderson, Will Cramer, Jonnathan Rabeiro, Sammy Mendoza and Colin Thess each drove in a run for Cape (4-5). Oasis (5-4) got one RBI each from Michael Miller and Kanay Velazquez. 

SOFTBALL

North Fort Myers 9, Ida Baker 5: Lyla Pecore had two RBI, while Kenney Conley, Bella Michel, Jordyn Prado and Kaliyah Williams (three hits) drove  in a run each for the Red Knights (6-0, 3-0 District 5A-11). Taylor Lavish hit a three-run homer for Ida Baker (2-3, 0-1).

Mariner 13, Cypress Lake 0 (5 innings): Gabi Winters pitched a five-inning no-hitter for the Tritons (3-2). Alaina Shugars, Rylie Moore and Winters had two RBI each.

Cape Coral 3, Oasis 0: Emma Brannan pitched a no-hitter with 16 strikeouts.for the Seahawks Oasis’ (2-8) Kyra Cavender allowed one earned run over six innings.

Bishop Verot 1, SW Florida Christian 0 (Private 8 Tournament): Payton Breadmore drove in Abby Goff for the game’s only run in the bottom of the sixth inning. Josie Betterman and Breadmore combined to hold SWFC to one hit.

Island Coast 7, Dunbar 6: The Gators improved to 3-2.

Fort Myers 26, North Fort Myers 18: North slipped to 1-2, 0-1 in District 3A-11.
