“Imagine having a clear, comprehensive safety report card for your child’s school—that’s the power of the School Safety Dashboard,” said Max Schachter, founder of Safe Schools for Alex. “Transparency isn’t just a right; it’s a lifeline.”

Safe Schools for Alex is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Founded in the loving memory of Alex Schachter, Safe Schools for Alex specializes in providing parents and educators the most up to date school safety data.

Through the nation’s most comprehensive dashboard of school violence data, we deliver unprecedented transparency into incidents of violence and drugs present in America’s public K-12 schools.

The dashboard informs decisions that protect students, drives accountability, and builds safer schools so that all children can learn, grow, and thrive.
