Tallahassee State College men’s hoops to miss out on state tournament, women receive at-large bid

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – After a four way tie in the Panhandle Conference for men’s hoops, the Conference turned to the Massey Ratings to decide the three teams that would get the bids to the Region 8 tournament next week.

Unfortunately, Tallahassee State is on the outside looking in. Despite having the highest national ranking, the Eagles come in fourth in the Massey Ratings amongst the Panhandle teams.

The good news? A bid to the national tournament is still a very real possibility.

While the men miss out on the state tournament, for the first time since 2018, the Tallahassee women earned an at-large bid. They’ll face Daytona next Thursday at 2:00/ET at the state tournament in Niceville.
