The sale of gasoline to minors has been banned in Saint Petersburg, Russia’s northern capital, APA’s Russia bureau reports.

According to the information, Alexander Beglov has imposed a temporary ban on the sale of fuel to minors.

It was noted that from March 9, 2026, to December 31, 2026, the sale of petroleum products in any container to minors will be prohibited at all fuel stations located in St. Petersburg.

Russian media wrote that the ban is related to a decree by Vladimir Putin on strengthening public security and is aimed at “reducing the risks associated with the use of flammable materials by minors for destructive purposes.”
