The Courts at Cape Coral prepare to host 2026 APP Selkirk US Collegiate Championships

For the second straight year, the Association of Pickleball Players Selkirk U.S. Collegiate Championships are coming to Cape Coral.This weekend, some of the top pickleball college programs from across the country will compete in the individual and team national championships.This is the second year that the event has come to Cape Coral, with the University of Florida winning the team championship in 2025.With 40 teams coming to town, the competition will be fierce, something that pickleball lovers of all ages will love to see.Director of Collegiate Pickleball for APP Dominic Catalano said, “Seeing the growth of college pickleball, seeing the level of play from these kids is amazing and this is a culmination of that. Over the last three years, we have the best teams in the nation here this weekend competing for one championship, so the competition is going to be next level this weekend.”Five individuals and one team will be crowned as national champions throughout the weekend.Catalano said, “Come out, we have all day long on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We start at 8 am, and we’ll be finishing around 6 or 7 pm each day.
