Spring heat and humidity not leaving the area just yet

  • March 6, 2026

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A few welcome showers and thunderstorms greeted parts of our area Thursday afternoon, and while they have fallen apart, there could still be a few evening showers, mainly over the eastern parts of the region.

Then it’s back to overnight clouds and some dense fog, with lows near or above 60.

A few afternoon or evening showers could return tomorrow, mainly over eastern areas once again. The upcoming weekend will see rain chances drop with only isolated showers possible.

Warm temperatures will persist, with lows in the low 60s and inland highs in the low to mid 80s, and low to mid 70s near the coast.

The pattern will be stuck at least into early next week, but there are still signs that a cold front will give us better rain chances and some slightly cooler temperatures by the end of next week.
