Some fog, turning warm on Saturday for Tallahassee, the Big Bend and South Georgia

  • March 7, 2026

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Get ready for a weekend of dense fog and warm temperatures, with a stray storm possible this afternoon. The First Alert Weather team is tracking several weather impacts that could affect your plans through next week.

Some fog on Saturday morning

Fog will continue through this weekend, with some fog potentially becoming dense. The densest fog will be in the Florida Panhandle and coastal areas.

Partly sunny and warm today

Aside from a stray storm, Saturday will be partly sunny and warm, with mid-80s inland and 70s along the coast. A stray sea breeze shower or thunderstorm is possible this afternoon across inland areas. Southwest Georgia and the eastern Big Bend have the best chance of seeing a stray shower or storm.

More warmth tomorrow

It will be worth watching an ongoing complex of storms over northern and central Alabama, which may approach the area Sunday morning, but is likely to weaken as it moves into the region.

Mostly cloudy to partly cloudy with highs in the low to mid-80s.

Near-record heat next week

Temperatures will warm significantly on Monday and Tuesday with the Bermuda High establishing dominance over the area. Highs are expected in the mid to upper 80s. This is going to bring highs near-record territory.

Late week storm system

Mid-80s continue through the end of this week. The next weather system will move into the area late Wednesday and Thursday. Models are still working out the exact evolution, but there’s potential for strong storms depending on how the system develops.

Behind the system, temperatures will return to near average with highs closer to 70 degrees and lows closer to 50 degrees.
