Tampa International Airport (TPA) has made recent additions to make the travel experience easier
The spring break season brings in over 70,000 visitors to the airport
The new changes include shuttles, real-time security wait times, TSA precheck touchless ID and more
TPA says this time of year is one of the busiest. They see over 70,000 people come through its gates, and they want to make that experience stress-free.
Greta Bunn was welcomed by her family, whom she is visiting for a week. She’s a frequent traveler, so she knows how busy this time of the year can get.
It’s why TPA has opened its new airside shuttles; introduced real-time security wait times, and a new TSA precheck touchless ID.
For Bunn, the Tampa airport has always been one of her favorites, and with the additions, it has made her travel experience better.
“I think it’s awesome that they are continuing to work on it,” she said. “Every time I think that our airport is really nice, I come back and there’s something new and something made to help everyone have an easier travel experience.”
The airport has also added the option to reserve parking in advance for visitors to book parking at least 24 hours ahead for a discounted rate.
TPA says the peak travel season is going on now until April 18. TPA is also reminding travelers to plan and arrive early for a stress-free experience.
