Apparently dogs have nine lives, too! A Florida pilot and his wife died on Feb. 18 when their small plane crashed in Texas because of a dirty windshield. But there was one survivor: their pup!
Ron and Barbara Timmermans had just radioed that they were coming in for an emergency landing when their plane struck a powerline and plummeted to the ground. But the couple’s little lapdog — who was flying onboard with them — miraculously made it out of the wreck unscathed!

“The dog was alive, and so one of the neighbors took the dog to take care of,” neighbor Mary Ann Shoulders told KLTV.

“It was just loud, just mangling,” she said of the crash. “You could hear the metal mangling and stuff.”
Their pooch will be adopted by the couple’s surviving family, according to officials.
