Seven suspects arrested in retail theft scheme in Martin County

The Martin County Sheriff’s Office, working alongside six other law‑enforcement agencies, has arrested seven people accused of running a coordinated retail theft scheme that targeted stores across the region. Investigators learned the suspects worked together and hid the stolen items inside oversized ice storage containers before walking out of the stores. One of the targeted locations was a retail business in Hobe Sound. Thanks to the joint investigation, officers were able to identify the people involved and make the arrests. Six of the seven suspects are currently being held at the Martin County Jail.
