After Jacksonville State basketball hit a buzzer beater to eliminate UTEP from the Conference USA Tournament, a Miners fan interrupted the postgame hand shake line.

In a video posted to X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, it appears that a UTEP fan was yelling at Jacksonville State before grabbing a folding chair. A Jax State staffer and police officer kept the fan separate from both teams, along with someone appearing to be with the fan.

The fan started the video out of frame, and no words can be made out as the fan and team interact. Near the end of the video players are seen resuming the handshake line and it looks like no Jacksonville State or UTEP players were hurt.

Jacksonville State picked up a crucial 64-61 win to get back even in conference play heading into the Conference USA Tournament. Mostapha El Moutaouakkil hit the game winning 3-pointer as time expired. He ended the night with a team high 23 points and added seven rebounds. Jacoby Hill added 11 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assist and 3 steals.

Jacksonville State now turns its attention to the Conference USA Tournament which starts March 10 in Huntsville. The Gamecocks first game has not been set.
