A variety of new shirts themed to the various lands and series featured at Universal’s Epic Universe are now available at CityWalk’s Epic Universe Preview Center.
New T-Shirts Arrive at Epic Universe Preview Center
While Universal’s Epic Universe approaches the one year annivesary of operation, the Preview Center at Universal’s CityWalk remains open, offering guests throughout Universal Orlando Resort access to some of the merchandise that’s otherwise limited to shops within the new park.
On a recent visit to CityWalk, we noticed a collection of new t-shirts available in the preview center. The new shirts feature characters from some of the park’s themed worlds, namely those of How to Train Your Dragon, Dark Universe, the Wizarding World, and the Universal-original Celestial Park.
Each of these adult shirts is priced at $30 individually. Universal offers a mix-and-match deal which provides a slight discount, dropping the price of two shirts to $25 each when purchased together for a total of $50.
“I <3 Hiccup” Shirt – $30.00
For fans of Hiccup, the protagonist of the How to Train Your Dragon series, this grey shirt proudly declares “I <3 Hiccup” with an artful profile illustration of Hiccup resting in the shape of a heart on the torso’s center.
“Best Dad Bod” Shirt – $30.00
For fans of Stoick the Vast, Hiccup’s rather large father, this brown shirt sports a full graphic of Stoick alongside the text “Best Dad Bod”, jokingly referring to Stoick’s distinct, imposing figure.
“Here for the Cones” Shirt – $30.00
This vibrant yellow shirt proudly sports the text “HERE FOR THE CONES” above a graphic of three mac and cheese cones, a very popular snack item from the How to Train Your Dragon area of Epic Universe. Initially available exclusively at Hooligan’s Grog & Gruel, and now also served at Spit Fyre Grill. You can check out more from our initial review of the cones.
Frankenstein’s Monster “Shockingly Attractive” – $30.00
Couples who are fans of Dark Universe may want to check out this pair of couples’ t-shirt designs. For the dark gray half of this pair, we have Frankenstein’s monster featured on the torso in a friendly-looking chibi design, surrounded by the text “SHOCKINGLY ATTRACTIVE”. A small text logo for Universal Epic Universe sits beneath the graphic.
Bride of Frankenstein “Shockingly Cute” – $30.00
On the light gray second half of this couples’ shirt design, we find the Bride of Frankenstein in a similar chibi style, framed by the text “SHOCKINGLY CUTE”. Sparks of electricity flank the character graphic and the Epic Universe logo again bottoms out the design.
The Invisible Man Shirt – $30.00
This dark gray Dark Universe shirt introduces the Invisible Man, with the Invisible Man himself denoted by the negative space created through his shirt, jacket, tie, glasses and hat. The text “INVISIBLE, BUT UNFORGETTABLE” arches along the background of the graphic.
“Umbridge Stands Trial Today” Shirt – $30.00
Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts fans can check out this gray shirt featuring no one’s favorite witch, Dolores Umbridge, and the text “UMBRIDGE STANDS TRIAL TODAY”, evoking the narrative events that Epic Universe guests can experience in the Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry ride.
Pizza Moon Graphic Shirt – $30.00
As part of a new release of shirts featuring Epic Universe original properties, this light blue t-shirt prominently features the Pizza Moon logo on its torso. The tagline “OUT OF THIS WORLD FLAVOR!” sits along the bottom of the moon graphic, along with a text logo for Epic Universe.
The Plastered Owl Shirt – $30.00
For fans of The Plastered Owl in Epic Universe’s Celestial Park, this logo t-shirt comes in a dark-washed blue-gray. The tagline “WHERE DRINKS ARE STRONG AND FEATHERS FLY” rests beneath the logo here.
You Delightful Freak Shirt – $30.00
This beige Universal Epic Universe shirt has Ygor in the center, Victoria Frankenstein’s assistant, from Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment, surrounded by his quote from the pre-show “You Delightful Freak”.
Celestial Park Shirt – $30.00
This gray shirt has the Celestial Park logo in large gold letters with Universal Epic Universe in all capital letters at the bottom.
