TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Foggy mornings with temperatures nearing record territory and summer-like showers over the next few days.
Foggy start to the day
Dense fog continues to blanket parts of the Big Bend and south Georgia this morning, making your morning drive more challenging. A Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect through 9 a.m., and drivers should use extra caution on roadways where visibility is reduced. Through midday for the coastal waters.
A few showers and storms today, otherwise partly to mostly cloudy. Highs in the mid-70s to mid-80s. Fog returns tonight, with lows in the low to mid-60s.
Once the fog lifts, today will be great to get the boats out on the Gulf and Bays.
Slow Monday morning drive
recordnother foggy morning commute on Monday. Clouds and fog break late morning, bringing partly sunny skies in the afternoon. A few showers and storms in the afternoon. Highs in the mid to upper 80s.
Nearing record highs
High pressure builds in on Tuesday. Temperatures will climb into the upper 70s and low to mid-80s today, with highs reaching the mid to upper 80s by Tuesday and Wednesday. These temperatures are well above normal for early March, close to record highs.
The next front
The next weather system moves in, bringing scattered showers and a few storms. Behind it, drier and cooler in the 70s for daytime highs Thursday through Saturday, 40s on Friday and Saturday morning.
