TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A gas station on West Orange Avenue was on fire early Sunday morning, according to a press release from the Tallahassee Fire Department.
TFD responded to the fire at about 3:14 a.m. and said it involved a Marathon gas station.
The department said the building was “fully involved in fire” when they arrived, but there were no occupants as the building was closed.
TFD said no injuries were reported.

“Due to the extent of the fire and concerns about structural stability, firefighters initially operated in a defensive attack from the exterior before making limited access to the structure as conditions improved,” TFD said.
The fire was reportedly under control in one hour. Responding agencies included the Tallahassee Police Department, City of Tallahassee Utilities and Leon County EMS.
TPD temporarily blocked portions of West Orange Avenue until about 10 a.m. Sunday morning.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Florida State Fire Marshal’s Office.
