KEY WEST, Fla. (WIS) – Two Columbia men were arrested after being pulled over in the Florida Keys early Sunday.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, located in Key West, said 44-year-old Andre Coker and 34-year-old Alberto Gutierrez were taken into custody after a traffic stop on U.S. 1.

The sheriff’s office said Gutierrez was driving a BMW sedan that was speeding on the highway at around 3:30 a.m. During the stop, deputies reported a smell of marijuana as well as a THC pen being visible.
A search of the car revealed a loaded .45 caliber Glock as well as nearly 70 grams of cocaine, over 20 grams of marijuana and seven prescription pills. Nearly $650 in cash was also seized.

Both men were charged with trafficking cocaine, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Gutierrez was additionally charged with possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, as well as possession of ammunition by a convicted felon.
As of around 12:10 p.m. Sunday, records show Coker and Gutierrez are being jailed in Monroe County with no bond set. Both have arrangements scheduled for March 26.
