There’s some relief in sight. A cold front is expected to sweep through Central Florida on Thursday, bringing a jump in rain chances and dialing temperatures back closer to normal levels. The forecast calls for scattered rain and maybe a few embedded thunderstorms Thursday, with rain coverage at 60 percent and high temperatures cooling off to 85 degrees.
Until the cold front arrives, the weather in Orlando and across Central Florida is set to stay on the warm and muggy side. Overnight lows are expected to start off in the lower to middle 60s inland and upper 60s along the coast. Monday may start with a bit of patchy, dense fog, but plenty of sunshine is in the forecast as the day heats up.
Rain chances remain minimal—just a 20 percent shot at an isolated shower Monday. If you’re heading outdoors, make sure to drink plenty of water and stay hydrated.
