GAINESVILLE, Fla. – In a meet worthy of the nation’s top billing, No. 4 Florida delivered the country’s highest score of the season Sunday to edge No. 2 LSU in a showdown between collegiate gymnastics’ elite.

Backed by a roaring sellout crowd of 9,229 inside the Exactech Arena at the Stephen C. O’Connell Center, the Gators produced the nation’s best 2026 team total of 198.45 to edge LSU, which posted the nation’s top road score with a 198.325.

The teams traded the advantage throughout a tightly contested meet that matched the weekend’s lofty expectations. Florida and LSU were tied after the opening rotation before the Tigers edged ahead by 0.075 at the midway point. The Gators reclaimed momentum in the third rotation, carrying the slimmest of leads – 0.025 – into the finale.

Florida sealed the victory in dramatic fashion on floor exercise, delivering the nation’s second-highest floor total of the season (49.75) while LSU also recorded its season-high balance beam score in the final rotation.

High team totals came with equally impressive individual performances. Each apparatus title was claimed with a perfect or near-perfect mark, and the meet’s five all-around competitors produced the top collection of all-around scores recorded in a single meet this season, with totals ranging from 39.85 to 39.65.

TONIGHT’S MEET
The meet was tied after each team opened with totals of 49.375. Florida’s total came on the vault, as both Kayla DiCello and Selena Harris-Miranda led the Gators with season-high 9.95s.

Scores were high for both teams during the second rotation. For the second week in row, Skye Blakely posted her collegiate-best of 9.975 to share her third uneven bars win with LSU’s Konner McClain. Harris-Miranda took third after matching her season-high 9.95

LSU owned a 0.075 lead at the midpoint after posting the nation’s second-highest vault total of the season (49.70).

Florida took the narrowest advantage, 0.025, into the final rotation after posting a 49.70 on balance beam. Anchoring that beam lineup was Harris-Miranda’s second 10.0 of her career. Florida also got back-to-back 9.95s from eMjae Frazier and DiCello plus Blakely earned a 9.925.

All six Gators in the floor lineup turned in marks of 9.90 or better Sunday. Blakely and Frazier shared the event title with LSU’s Kaliya Lincoln as each posted a near-perfect 9.975.

Sunday’s meet featured five all-arounders – all with totals among the nation’s top nine tallies of 2026. Harris-Miranda took the win with a season-high 39.85 – the nation’s No. 2 total of the season. Her former club teammate, LSU’s Kailin Chio, was runner-up at 39.775. DiCello (39.725), Blakely (39.70) and Frazier (39.65) all turned in season bests.
