IT’S OUR JOB TO GATHER DATA AND REALLY FOLLOW IT AND SEE WHAT IT SAYS TO SOLVE SOME OF THE WORLD’S BIGGEST, MOST COMPLEX PROBLEMS, LIKE ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES, CLIMATE, HEALTH AND EDUCATION. AND THIS CONFERENCE IS A BIG PART OF YOUR MISSION. THIS IS A BIG PART OF OUR MISSION. THIS IS OUR EIGHTH ANNUAL CONVENING IN ORLANDO, FLORIDA. IT’S CALLED CLIMATE CORRECTION CONFERENCE. IT IS A MAIN STAGE CONFERENCE THAT BRINGS TOGETHER ALL OF THE STAKEHOLDERS WHO ARE WORKING TO SOLVE A CLIMATE DRIVEN ISSUE WHERE WE SEE MORE EXTREME WE HAVE AGRICULTURAL IMPACTS, BUT THERE’S SO MUCH MORE THAN THE MAIN STAGE CONFERENCE THIS YEAR. IT STARTS TOMORROW ON TUESDAY WITH AN INTERACTIVE EXPO, WHICH IS FREE. IT HAS AN ART CONTEST AND AN ART WALK FOR THOSE WHO WILL RECEIVE EDUCATION THROUGH MORE OF AN EMOTIONAL SENSORY. IT’S GOT LOTS OF DIFFERENT NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES. AND THEN WEDNESDAY IS THE TICKETED EVENT WHERE WE INVITE EVERYONE FROM THE COMMUNITY TO COME TOGETHER AND MEET WITH SCIENTISTS, EDUCATORS, POLICYMAKERS TO LEARN HOW TO ACT AND WHAT WE CAN DO TO MAKE LIFE AND THAT WAS KIND OF MY NEXT. MY NEXT QUESTION IS, CERTAINLY, YOU’RE HOPING THAT ANYONE WHO ATTENDS THIS, YOU KNOW, TAKES THOSE LESSONS OUT INTO THEIR OWN COMMUNITIES. MAYBE THEIR OWN SCHOOLS. WE’RE JUST THE BRIDGE BETWEEN ALL OF THESE DIFFERENT SCIENTISTS AND ECONOMISTS. AND WE REALLY WANT TO KNOW WHAT IS NATURE TELLING US. THIS YEAR’S THEME IS NATURE BASED SOLUTIONS. AND I THINK ALL FLORIDIANS CAN AGREE THAT OUR NATURAL ENVIRONMENT IS SO CRITICAL TO THE HEALTH OF OUR NATURE, OF OUR, OF OUR COMMUNITY AND OUR FAMILIES. SO WE’RE WATCHING NATURE TO SEE WHAT IS THE FOR EXAMPLE, THE EVERGLADES IS PROVIDING CLEAN WATER FOR 7 MILLION FLORIDIANS. HOW CAN WE LEARN FROM THAT? NATURE DOES IT BEST. AND SO WE WANT PEOPLE TO BE ABLE TO LEAVE WITH A SENSE OF WHAT DOES THE DATA SAY, AND HOW CAN I ACT? YEAH, AND NOT TOO LATE TO ATTEND. RIGHT.
