STUART, Fla. (CBS12) — The City of Stuart selected a seasoned Navy veteran as its new City Manager on Monday.

Selected from a pool of 13 finalists and 82 applicants, Michael Giardino is set to take on this important role in the community.

A resident of Martin County, Giardino is a 26-year Navy veteran.

Currently, he serves as the Deputy General Manager at LaGuardia Airport.
