One person died and another was seriously injured after a two-vehicle crash on South Flamingo Road in Davie; a road is closed while police investigate.

One person is dead after two vehicles collided in Davie on Tuesday afternoon, authorities say. Officers are cautioning to avoid the area as an investigation is conducted.
Around 3:40 p.m., Davie police said its officers rushed to a traffic accident in the 1900 block of South Flamingo Road. One person was killed and another was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.
Their identities and roles in the crash were not released. Traffic detectives are investigating.
Police said others involved in the collision stayed at the scene.
Commuters are being urged to seek ways around the area as northbound Flamingo Road is shut down at the 2600 block.
Television helicopters showed the crash involved a Lincoln Town Car and a utility cherry-picker truck.
