The city of Pembroke Pines elected two commissioners, while residents in Lauderhill approved three bond referendums on Tuesday.

Thomas “Tom” Good was elected as District 1 commissioner with 50.36% of the vote, with Dennis Hinds following close behind with 43.69%, according to the Broward County Supervisor of Elections website.

Voters also elected Michael “Mike” Hernandez for District 4. Hernandez grabbed 75.44% of the vote over Elizabeth “Liz” Burns.

In Lauderhill, residents approved three general obligation bonds totaling $65 million for improvements across roads, infrastructure, public safety and the environment.

Over 72.09% of voters approved bonds for public safety projects, 71.28% approved bonds for parks improvement projects and 71.07% voted for bonds towards transportation and roadway projects.

Voter turnout was 6.6%.
