NORTHWEST FLORIDA (WKRG) — A newly released study is showing an increase in jobs and wages in Northwest Florida.

According to a news release from Florida’s Great Northwest, its Labor Supply and Demand Analysis gave an in-depth look into the job market in the area.
In Northwest Florida, over 42,000 jobs have been added. This represents an 8.7% increase in growth, with the national average being 5.9%. Additionally, the number of jobs in priority industry sectors grew by 12%.
Average wages in the 13-county region rose by nearly 19%, the study found.
