USF’s University Lecture Series will host Brittany Broski, a 28-year-old influencer, podcaster, singer and comedian, at the Marshall Student Center for a speaker event on April 7.
The event will be held from 8 to 9 p.m. — with doors opening at 7:30 p.m. — in the MSC Ballroom, and will be free to students.
Broski first rose to fame in 2019 as the “Kombucha Girl” for her reaction to trying Kombucha, a fermented tea, for the first time.
Now she is known through personal TikTok videos, “The Broski Report,” a YouTube-based podcast about her personal interests, and “Royal Court,” a medieval-themed YouTube talk-show interview series.
USF will pay Broski $52,500 for her lecture, according to her contract.
Last year, USF hosted actress Lana Condor as its USF Week speaker for $65,000.
Though some USF students said personal plans will keep them from attending the event, others said they are looking forward to seeing and learning more about Broski’s rise to fame.

Lorraine Vaz, a student programs assistant at the Center for Student Involvement, said other candidates for the ULS could not be disclosed due to future collaboration opportunities.
Still, Vaz said speakers are chosen based on surveys, student interests, cultural relevance and educational value.
“Each semester, we explore several strong candidates who could bring something meaningful to the USF community,” Vaz said. “Brittany was one of the speakers who aligned exceptionally well with our goals for this year.”
Vaz said students have reacted well to the Instagram announcement that Broski would speak at USF — with over 5,000 likes and nearly 170 comments.
Vaz said she expects the event to be enjoyable, memorable and reflective of the USF spirit and the university’s student body.
“We hope that students enjoy this event as much as we have enjoyed planning it,” she said. “The expectation is to create a memorable night that brings the community together and reflects the spirit of USF.”

Jillian Borie, a senior mass communications major, said she has been following Broski on social media for the last three to four years.
Borie said she was “excited” to see her be picked as USF Week’s ULS speaker.
“Brittany Broski is one of my favorite influencers, and just seeing that she’s coming here, I was like, ‘This is a great person to have for the lecture series for my senior year.’ It’s my last one, [and the] best one.”
Borie said she is happy CAB found someone who fits into the “target demographic” of the student body and is someone students enjoy and interact with online.
“It’s really nice that they’re able to be like, ‘Okay, a lot of students are big fans of her, so let’s see what we can do,’ and I, as a student, really appreciate that.”
Borie said she plans on attending the event with two friends and is looking forward to listening to Broski speak about her career and to asking questions at the end of the performance.
“I love how authentic she is, because it’s very difficult,” Borie said. “I mean, internet fame can be so fleeting, and she turned this meme into a franchise, a career — she just interviewed Harry Styles, that’s insane.”

Kelsey Rodgers, a junior English major, said that although she is familiar with Broski and the speaker event, she does not plan on attending the ULS.
“I’m not the biggest fan of her, and her comedy doesn’t really match my taste,” Rodgers said.
Despite her plans not to attend, Rodgers said she thinks the event will be good for students.
“I enjoyed it when Gaten [Matarazzo] came to campus,” she said. “So, I don’t imagine the event being that different from his.”
Matarazzo visited USF in October 2025 and shared behind-the-scenes stories from “Stranger Things” with students.
Giada Anastasi, a sophomore biomedical sciences major, said she has seen a lot of Broski’s videos on social media.
“I’ve [also] seen a few of her interviews, like the clips with the Bridgerton [actors],” Anastasi said.
Anastasi said she learned about the event through CAB’s Instagram announcement and initially planned to go, but personal plans got in the way.
“I am interested in going, but I don’t think I’ll have time to go to it,” Anastasi said, “I think she’s entertaining and I’d be curious to see what she has to say coming to USF.”
Even though she is unable to attend herself, Anastasi said she would recommend the event to other students.
“I think it would be a good chance to see a popular social media personality coming to USF and having an interview,” Anastasi said.
