USF’s uncertified general election results were released on Tuesday, with Hunter Rabinowitz and Mia Riley winning as student body president and vice president, respectively.

Madisyn Mcreynolds, SG’s supervisor of elections, said there is no official date for when the results will be certified due to pending grievances and SG Supreme Court trials.

Grievances are complaints brought to the Election Rules Commission against a candidate, ticket or any group in an SG election, according to SG Statutes.

Mcreynolds did not specify how many grievances were filed or what the trials will address.

New student leaders will be inaugurated into their roles at the start of the seventh consolidated term in May.

Rabinowitz and Riley won with 2,462 votes, compared to the next runners-up, Caio Esmeraldi and Maria Julia Mussa Martins, with 1,054, according to an SG document obtained by The Oracle.

Rabinowitz and Riley previously told The Oracle they plan to implement and stand by three pillars — collaboration, safety and streamlining SG processes for student organizations.

“The average student doesn’t know much about Student Government, so we should really try to get ourselves out there more and promote the resources that we provide that students don’t use that much,” Rabinowitz said.

The uncertified Tampa governor and lieutenant governor winners are Ava Unutoa and Brooks Cornelison, respectively.

The gubernatorial ticket won with 2,308 votes, compared to their opponents, James Mayer and Julia Jacomini Silva, with 1,555 votes, according to an SG document obtained by The Oracle.

Unutoa and Cornelison previously told The Oracle their main goal is to be transparent with the Tampa student body through town halls — which would inform students on SG decisions and collect feedback.

“Our biggest priority is creating a better and stronger community at USF,” Unutoa said.

Both the presidential and Tampa gubernatorial uncertified winners ran their campaigns under the platform “ForwardUSF,” which is centered around student connection, transparency and action-oriented leadership, according to their Instagram page.

USF Sarasota-Manatee’s only gubernatorial ticket — and the uncertified winner — was composed of Andre Aquino as governor and Delaney Gutierrez as lieutenant governor.

Aquino is the current Sarasota-Manatee governor alongside Dennis Kukharenko as lieutenant governor. Gutierrez is a Sarasota-Manatee senator.

On the other hand, USF’s St. Pete campus did not have a gubernatorial ticket run for office.

Because of this, Mcreynolds said the campus will have a special election for both campus council and gubernatorial positions starting March 23.
