• I am so tired of people crying and moaning about the time change two times each year. There are three things that everyone must deal with in their lives: Death, taxes and time change twice a year. Stop the complaining.
• The produce at my Walmart Neighborhood Market seems like it has really declined in quality. They no longer carry yellow bananas, only green ones. The bags of mandarins they put out often have rotten fruit in them. It can take me forever to find apples that don’t have bad spots. Lots of the other produce just looks bad, seems dirty or is just missing from the shelves. Please step up your game, as I otherwise like this store. Thanks.
• I’m ticked off that apparently all the Winter Springs cops are on vacation. In Tuscawilla, motorcycles are using the main drag, Winter Springs Boulevard, as a drag strip! I see four, five, six motorcycles at a time roaring up and down and not a cop in sight.
The flip side
• Kudos to Courtney and Ewan for doing an amazing job of leading two buses of very excited first-graders through the Orlando Wetlands on a field trip! The kids learned so much about the water cycle and how important the wetlands are.
• Thank you, Amy Palmer Saunders, and the Arnold & Winnie Palmer Foundation for continuing to epitomize the greatness of your dad, Arnold Palmer, with the greatness of the Arnold Palmer Invitational, the impact on the area and the hospitals associated with his name and the countless lives they have saved.
