Here are the area’s top high school sports performers for March 9-10. Top performers are based on the results sent in by the coaches.

Tuesday, March 10

BASEBALL

Nick Lacugna, Dixon: The sophomore went 3-for-4 with a double and RBI and struck out five, allowed five hits and one earned run in five innings in a 3-1 win over Jacksonville.

Trent Leal, Dixon: The senior was 1-for-3 with an RBI and struck out one in one inning.

Cannon Smith, Jacksonville: The sophomore went 2-for-4 with a run in a 3-1 loss to Dixon.

Vasco Sutton, Jacksonville: The senior was 2-for-4 with a double and RBI and struck out 11 and allowed two hits and no runs in five innings.

Tanner Brinson, Richlands: The junior was 3-for-5 with a run, RBI and two steals in a 9-4 victory over West Carteret.

Michael Gildersleeve, Richlands: The junior was 2-for-5 with three RBIs and two runs.

Kyle Ornoski, Richlands: The junior was 1-for-3 with an RBI and struck out six and allowed five hits and two earned runs in six innings.

Cooper Torrence, Richlands: The sophomore went 3-for-4 with two runs.

BOYS LACROSSE

Eliaz Garcia, Northside: The junior had four goals and five assists in a 13-7 victory over New Bern.

Jackson Miracle, Northside: The senior had two goals and an assist.

BOYS TENNIS

Dallas Hathway, Dixon: The senior won 7-5, 6-1 at No. 6 singles and 8-6 at No. 3 doubles in a 7-2 loss to Northside.

Bryson Brown, East Duplin: The senior won 8-0 at No. 4 singles and 8-1 at No. 2 doubles in a 9-0 victory over Pender.

Greyson Burch, East Duplin: The freshman won 8-1 at No. 5 singles.

Seth Brown, East Duplin: The junior won 8-3 at No. 1 singles and 8-1 at No. 1 doubles.

Avery Dail, East Duplin: The senior won 8-1 at No. 3 singles and at No. 2 doubles.

German Silva-Coria, East Duplin: The junior won 8-3 at No. 6 singles and 8-1 at No. 3 doubles.

Parker Dupree, East Duplin: The junior won 8-2 at No. 2 singles and at No. 1 doubles.

Logan Collura-Repp, Richlands: The senior won 7-5, 6-4 at No. 1 singles and 8-6 at No. 1 doubles in a 7-2 loss to West Carteret.

Naomi Clement, Northside: The junior scored four goals in a 7-6 win over Havelock.

Gavin Ramson, White Oak: The junior went 3-for-4 with two runs and two steals in a 16-6 loss to Southwest.

Brandon Watson, White Oak: The senior went 2-for-4 with two RBIs. 

SOFTBALL

Kailei Dawsey, Dixon: The senior was 1-for-4 with a run and RBI and struck out six in eight innings while allowing seven hits and one earned run in a 5-4 win over White Oak.

Lilly Keeling, Dixon: The sophomore was 2-for-3 with a double and home run.

Kaylie Moore, Dixon: The senior was 2-for-4 with a run.

Jayne Hayden, Swansboro: The junior was 2-for-4 with a double, run and RBI in a 12-5 loss to East Carteret.

Addison McMillan, Swansboro: The junior was 3-for-4 with two doubles, two runs and two RBIs.

Emily Pollard, White Oak: The sophomore was 4-for-5 with a run and had 12 strikeouts in seven innings while allowing six hits and one earned run in seven innings in a 5-4 loss in eight innings at Dixon. 

TENNIS

James Baile, Croatan: The junior won 6-1, 6-3 at No. 1 singles and 8-2 at No. 1 doubles in a 6-3 win over Greene Central.

Ian Balog, Croatan: The senior won 6-2, 7-6 (7-5) at No. 2 singles and 9-8 (7-0) at No. 2 doubles.

Cabe Hruska, Croatan: The senior won 7-5, 6-3 at No. 5 singles.

Jonathan Soito, Croatan: The junior won 7-6 (7-1), 7-5 at No. 3 singles and at No. 1 doubles.
