The Miami Dolphins re-signed Greg Dulcich earlier in the week, but they weren’t able to get a deal done with Julian Hill, so he became an unrestricted free agent and is now leaving.
According to the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Hill is signing with the rival New England Patriots. The Miami Herald’s Barry Jackson clarified that the Dolphins offered Hill a deal under the $3.5 million tender, and he turned it down.

Hill, 25, signed with Miami as an undrafted free agent in 2023 after a five-year collegiate career at Campbell University. He appeared in 45 games and started 26 for the Dolphins over the last three years and caught 33 passes for 288 yards.
With him gone and Darren Waller still unsigned, the Dolphins only have Dulcich, Jalin Conyers, Cole Turner and Zack Kuntz at tight end now. They’ll need to add either a veteran or a draft pick to help Malik Willis in 2026.
