Good morning, Central Florida. Here’s what you need to know today.

Your Weather Planner

A quiet overnight is expected, with mostly clear to partly cloudy skies. Winds will remain out of the north or northeast through the evening into Friday morning, ranging from 5 to 15 miles per hour inland. Toward the coast, winds could reach 15-20 mph.

Friday morning lows will be mainly in the lower 60s, but some low-lying areas of Sumter and Marion counties are likely to drop into the upper 50s.

A dry front is anticipated to deepen out of the Tennessee River Valley throughout Friday into Saturday morning. No wet weather is expected. Afternoon temperatures in the lower and middle 80s will be common.

A secondary front and area of low pressure from the South Central Plains will transition east into the interior of the Southeast, which will allow for better odds of wet weather by late Sunday and transitioning into Monday. Overall, temperatures will slowly decrease throughout the next seven days, potentially dropping into the upper 70s during the day by next Thursday or Friday.

The entire White House East Wing has been demolished as President Donald Trump moves forward with construction of a ballroom, according to photos taken Thursday by The Associated Press.

The East Wing, where first ladies created history, planned state dinners and promoted causes, is now history itself. The two-story structure of drawing rooms and offices, including workspace for first ladies and their staffs, has been turned into rubble, demolished as part of the Republican president’s plan to build a ballroom nearly twice the size of the White House at an updated cost of $300 million.
