JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The First Coast News Weather Team is issuing a Weather Impact Alert for Thursday morning due to a round of rain that will sweep through the area and is likely to impact at least part of the opening round of The Players Championship.
An approaching cold front will produce a strong line of showers and storms that will cross over the area. Expect rain by late morning in Georgia and moving into metro Jacksonville by early to mid-afternoon. A break in the rain can be expected during the late afternoon and the evening.
WHEN: Thursday, March 12, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
IMPACT:Â Lightning, downpours, gusty winds and wildfire threat sparked by lightning. Take action if needed.
