A front draped across northern Florida on Thursday will continue to slide southward, and this will be the trigger to get our storms going.
Here’s what to know.
Will it rain today and when?
We’ve already seen a few showers early Thursday and the air is primed.
Winds will turn to the south and southwest, and this could push our temps into the upper-80s briefly before we pop a couple of those storms. The National Weather Service said the showers could arrive late this afternoon and evening.
“A couple of thunderstorms are also possible today,” the NWS said.
As an area of low pressure and associated frontal boundary begin to approach the area today, we will start to see scattered showers develop late this afternoon and evening. A couple of thunderstorms are also possible today. Increasing showers and storms expected Fri-Sun. pic.twitter.com/mLslqjPhrf

Will it rain this weekend?
The front will continue to march south and then stall across our region Friday and bring much higher rain chances into the weekend.
The bulk of the rain each day will favor the afternoon.
